Legendary snake handler Jackie Bibby claimed the fourth Guinness World Record of his unorthodox yet illustrious career after sharing a transparent bath tub with 87 rattlesnakes. Bibby, dubbed the Texas Snake Man, shattered the previous landmark by 12 snakes and a Guinness official was on hand to verify the record achievement.

Bibby sat in the dry tub with a pillow behind him wearing regular clothing. The snakes were not defanged and still contained their venom. Although the 87 snakes crawled under his arms, between his legs and anywhere else they could slither, none bit him.

Amazingly, Jackie’s bath tub record is not the weirdest achievement on his resume. He has also set world records for holding snakes in his mouth (10) and sharing a sleeping bag with the most rattlesnakes (109). He has worked as a snake handler since 1969 and in that time has only received 8 bites serious enough to hospitalize him.

Bibby’s latest achievement comes on the eve of the annual Guinness World Records Day and he is just one of the weird world record holders to achieve immortality thanks to unorthodox feats.

Among the people joining Jackie in the latest version of the big book are Ukrainian giant Leonid Stadnyk and tightlacing expert Cathie Jung. Stadnyk, a former vet from the Ukraine, was officially recognized as the world’s tallest man after his towering height of 8 feet 5.5 inches was independently verified in August. Jung, a 70-year-old American, boasts the world’s smallest waist. Thanks to years of wearing tightly-laced corsets, the super-fit 70-year-old’s waist measures just 15 inches.
