Pop star and actress Jessica Simpson has made an inadvertent bid to become America’s first WAG after she began dating Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo in November 2007. The Dukes of Hazzard star has been blamed for Romo’s poor performances over the past two months.

In December, she was snapped in the stands at the Cowboys’ Texas Stadium as Romo slumped to his worst performance of the season and finished the game with a broken thumb. The controversy has continued into the new year as the celebrity couple were pictured on holiday in Mexico just days before the Cowboys crucial play-off match with the New York Giants. Despite being the underdogs, the Giants went on to win the game 21-17 with Romo throwing a last second interception to seal his team’s defeat.
